I started Karate when I was five years old. I am now eleven and almost a brown belt. My favorite part of karate is Katas. Katas help me to make sure that my punches, kicks, stances, and blocks are perfected. By doing this, karate teaches me focus and self-discipline. - Christian

Four years ago, I took my very first step of entering the world of Martial Arts - walking through the door. Ever since then, I have grown both inside and outside of the Dojo. We are always reminded by our Senseis that it has to come from the heart and that we have to have good "kokoro" - heart/spirit. Every time I enter the Dojo, my stomach rumbles with an unbearable hunger for a new technique to eat off of. I know I am speaking not only for myself, but for my entire Dojo family when I say we have a passion to learn and study the arts. - Felicia

I love karate because I get to learn a lot and the senseis are a lot of fun. My favorite days are Wednesday and Thursdays because I work hard. My favorite memory is when I got my first yellow tip. - Samantha A.
Karate is fun. It keeps me healthy and it works out my muscles. It is awesome! My abs are getting bigger from doing exercises! I like sparring because it teaches me how to defend myself on the street. Karate makes me feel strong. My favorite memory is when I got my first tip. - Charlie A.

I love karate! It is fun to do karate because it helps me learn how to defend myself. I like Thursday classes the best because we get to learn about what would happen on the street. I used to be shy but now I am more confident. My favorite memory is my first promotion. - Gianna

Not long ago, my friend Felicia asked me if I would like to go to karate with her. I said "sure," I thought it would be a fun experience. When I first walked through the doors, I was nervous and I didn't know what to expect. But I knew one thing, I had a heart made for Martial Arts. It was so much fun! It teaches children discipline and self-defense. -Katarina

Hi my name is Samantha. My favorite part of Karate is that with all the punches and kicks you learn you can protect yourself in a fight. My other favorite part about Karate is that one day you can become a Sensei and teach all the punches and kicks to younger ranks and higher ranks. I love Karate. I also think that the Senseis there are the best too. Thats why they inspire me to become a Sensei. Since I started taking Karate, my grades are better and I feel better about myself. I want to continue training and be just like my Senseis one day. -Samantha F.
